CHILDREN ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE POTTY TRAINED FOR THIS CLASS
Classes are for children who will be 2 ½ years old by September 30th. Classes are offered 2 Day or 3 Day. Classes include Bible stories, music, story time, art, physical development, free play, and basic curriculum. The curriculum includes learning basic shapes, colors, counting, and the alphabet. Special emphasis is placed on manners and socialization skills.
Three Year Old Classes
CHILDREN ARE REQUIRED TO BE POTTY TRAINED FOR THIS CLASS
Classes are for children who will be 3 years old by September 30th. Classes are offered 2 Day, 3 Day or 5 Day. Emphasis on socialization skills and self-awareness starts the year off. The children work to solidify their knowledge of shapes, colors, and numbers 1-10. Children will begin proper pencil grasp and recognize their printed name. Introduction to the alphabet and beginning math and language skills are presented in fun and creative ways.
Four Year Old Classes
Classes are for children who will be 4 years old by September 30th. Classes are offered 3 Day, 4 Day or 5 Day. Kindergarten readiness skills such as recognition and discrimination of letters and their sound, printing, math and language skills are emphasized. Children will focus on using scissors skillfully, correct pencil grasp, printing first and last name, and completing simple patterns. Children will have many opportunities to explore, observe and experiment through our diverse curriculum of art, music, geography and hands-on science while building interpersonal relationships through discovery learning.
The class is a small group setting of 9 children who must be 5 years old by September 30th. This is a 5 Day class. This program is designed to provide additional opportunities for the child’s social and emotional growth as well as the development of fine and gross motor skills and reading/math readiness. Reading and Writing centers are a daily routine.
All classes emphasize learning through music, art, creative play and physical development daily. Prayer, scripture readings and Bible stories with daily life applications are an important part of each day at preschool. Manners and respect for each other are also encouraged. HIGHLIGHTS of the year include our Christmas Pageant, Easter Concert, field trip to the pumpkin patch, special visitors, Thanksgiving Feast, Mother’s Day Dessert, Donuts with Dad and seasonal parties. All children will attend Chapel, Library, Music & Movement and Spanish class each week as part of the weekly curriculum.
